Bio

Micah Anderson (he/him/his) brings experience in non-profits, secondary and post-secondary academic institutions, and community-based organizations. Inside and outside of the education pipeline, his focus has been to support and build systems within schools and communities that support the education and well-being of young people.

His current work includes organization development and community change efforts including building local and regional networks working against poverty, racism, and educational inequity.

Micah also spent time developing and training young professionals in college access work and partnered with school staff and administration to improve college access and enrollment in individual high schools. Before that he worked as a college coach, supporting students and their families as they navigated a path through high school to ultimately obtain admission into and financial aid for post-secondary education.

Micah has a master’s degree in Organization Development from American University. An Atlanta, GA native, Micah also obtained a bachelor’s in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.

Outside of school and work, Micah enjoys time with family and friend, exploring new music, and enjoying sports and basketball in particular.
